Bansha National School Mission Statement
At Bansha N.S., guided by our Catholic ethos and inspired by the teachings of Jesus Christ, we strive to create a welcoming, inclusive and nurturing school community where every child is valued, respected and encouraged to reach their full potential.
We are committed to the holistic development of each child, nurturing their spiritual, moral, intellectual, emotional, creative, social and physical growth. We seek to foster a love of learning, curiosity, independence and resilience, enabling every child to recognise and develop their unique gifts and talents.
Rooted in Gospel values of love, compassion, respect, forgiveness, justice and service to others, we aim to create an environment where kindness is lived, diversity is celebrated and every individual is treated with dignity. About Bansha National School
Established in 1879, Bansha National School has a long and proud history of serving the local community. Located in the parish of Doonbeg, Co. Clare, it is one of four primary schools in the parish.
Our school has a dedicated staff team, comprising a classroom teacher, a part-time Special Education Teacher (SET), a Principal Release Teacher, a part-time secretary and caretaking staff.
Bansha N.S. caters for children from Junior Infants to Sixth Class, providing a welcoming and supportive learning environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential. Alongside the delivery of the primary school curriculum, pupils have opportunities to participate in a wide range of extracurricular activities, including music, Gaelic games, basketball, choir and soccer. We place great importance on nurturing each child's academic, social and personal development.
Our pupils and school community have enjoyed considerable success in recent years, achieving recognition through initiatives and competitions such as the Digital Schools Awards, the WOW Reading Challenge, Discover Primary Science and various Gaelic games competitions.
Bansha N.S. is supported by an active and committed Board of Management, which works in partnership with staff and parents to continually enhance the school's curriculum, facilities and resources.
