Bansha N.S. was established in 1879 and is one of five schools in the Doonbeg parish in Co. Clare. It has a staff comprising of three teachers, a special needs assistant, a part-time secretary and a caretaker. A learning support teacher and three resource teachers regularly visit the school.
Children of the area attend Bansha N.S. from Junior Infants until Sixth class. Children participate in the school curriculum as well as partaking in music, gaelic games, basketball, choir and soccer. All children are encouraged and helped to achieve their potential both academically and socially.
In recent times, the school has achieved great success in the Digital School Awards, Wow Reading Challenge, Discover Primary Science and Gaelic Games competitions.
Bansha N.S. has an active Board of Management whose members work with teachers and parents to further develop the school curriculum and resources.
